Thanks for this Kruger. Unfortunately I have been informed that the current Vortigaut model would shoot the beam from its feet(or something along those lines) and it won't be implemented until we get a new Vortigaunt model. Luckily for us there are hl2 episode 2 Vortigaunt models out there that have many of the desired animations among other cool ones that would make them more realistic then the current 'T' stance lol.

Whoever said that the Half-Life 2 Episode 2 Vortigaunt models have animations is wrong, they don't.
Even if they did most players would see them as errors, it's a shame but there's nothing that can be done.
The beam doesn't work properly either, it gives LUA errors to ANYONE without HL2:EP2 and creates stupid red crosses all over the place when fired.
