Nerf fire-rate of the shotgun, could be a viable way to nerf it without touching the range or shot damage.
Makes it a little more skill based with your aiming and not just spraying shots everywhere.

I really don't like the map.
I do like the idea Emanating has, it's decent, and only a little bit of reduced fire rate could help greatly.

no, that would break the gun permanently, if anything should happen to it, it should have the fire rate reduced. That would 'fix' the gun.

Sure because firing slower is gonna make a world of difference when it only takes 1 shot to kill you.
