Okay.... Hold out with me for a second on this suggestion hear mkay.. Hear me out...

On this minecraft server I play on(not premium, classic zombie survival server), they have this rank called respected that you get when you resign or are demoted due to inactivity. I think it would be a cool idea to give this to people who get demoted due to something like inactivity.

What's the point you might ask and what would make it any different from a user group? Well, it differentiates from a regular user because there would be a few commands that they would have that would be different from a user. The commands that I propose would simply be:
-use of admin chat/messaging people
-gag/mute

That's really all there is to it(and it can be changed obviously, the real important thing I think is just admin chat). You may be asking what the point of it is, and the point is that some people resign or get demoted due to inactivity yet they still want to *be* a part of the staff team yet aren't 100% fully committed to becoming a full staff member and don't really feel like waiting an entire month for the staff meeting. It may seem redundant and you might say that they should just go for trusted instead, but if they were only demoted due to inactivity or resigned then it really doesn't hurt anything especially when they were a good staff member. It also lets people differentiate people who use to be staff from other players which really isn't important at all but it lets people know who they can "trust" and can rely on when there are problems on the server.

How long would they have this and would they be demoted? On the server I play on, you keep it forever as long as you don't break any rules. Break one rule > demoted back to user. Since they wouldn't have much power, it really wouldn't hurt anything and if they were staff to begin with and weren't demoted for malicious reasons, it shouldn't cause any problems(and if it did they can just be demoted).

I know some people might find it pointless but on the server I play on it works really well and is actually really beneficial.

Prof the biggest problem I have with your respected rank you are suggesting is that most of our former staff end up being some of the bigger minges we have to deal with. They cause problems now and if they had powers like that... it just wouldnt be good. And giving them the use of admin chat will just cause more abuse than it already has (not saying I dont abuse admin chat myself, we all do). People change over time and they could have been an amazing staff before but that doesnt mean they should get special privileges over someone who plays on the server regularly. If we give stuff like that to former staff we might as well give it to people like Beep or Zombie since they are always on the server and have more hours than both current and former staff.

On the map thing, most maps on that list are either not played at all, cause people to lag at certain parts, or is just generally disliked by a vast majority of our player base.

Map specific rule killing players with axe on rooftops is kosable- Due to the fact killing people with these is not logged as being done by the holder, I think it falls under propkill.

Also, I thought it was already a server rule for no one to camp in any T room for longer than 90 seconds? Otherwise it'd be sorta dumb to have to pass the exact same map specific rule for every single map with a T room, which gets to the exact same point anyways.

which is why they would get demoted. It wouldn't be any different that a current staff member minging. It isn't like people can't get their steam ID and report them. On the admin chat thing, it's not like it'll be any worse than it already is. It isn't even that bad. People usually on get distracted in admin chat occasionally and have conversations on there. That's pretty much it. It isn't like it's consistent talking that floods chat.


@on the maps thing: There are a ridiculous amount of maps that are on the server that are never played. I can agree with them being removed due to dislike or it being glitchy but lack of playtime wouldn't really be valid since we play the same 7 maps every day 24/7.

Ts should get a bigger score when taking out innocents
