Alrighty, now this may not work exactly because I'm doing it all on the fly, but I think we should set up a Civilization 5 tournament!

Basically how it will work is:

-1v1 game

-Set match specifics are the same for every game to ensure fairness

-Bracket style progression until the finale




What's required?

- Civ 5 (obviously)

- DLC is not required, it will be base, vanilla Civ 5 to ensure mechanics are the same for every player (Trade routes and religion can make things unfair).



Victories?

-All victories will be enabled.



AI?



-Only AI will be city-states which will be determined based off map size (still haven't fully thought of everything yet)

-Barbarians will be disabled, as will Ancient Ruins


How will the matches be set up?

-After I make the bracket list(the match ups will be assigned by RANDOM, by a tournament bracket generator) with everyone assigned to the person they will face, they will add the other person and set up a game. It is recommended that you post your Steam ID or something in your post so the person you are facing can add you if you don't have them added.

-I will set up a date for each of the first round matches, and the players will face off whenever time is both available for them, they will then BOTH post who the winner was on the first round match thread or just have one person reply to confirm the winner. If a dispute arises, just message me.


First Place prize?

-Game on steam worth less than 20 dollars of your choosing(I will be buying the game myself). If you win, I will gift you the game on steam.


Fee to join?

-YOUR GAME FACE!

-Anyone is allowed to join as long as they have Civ 5!
