I've been planning on getting GTA 5. Is it worth the money?

To be honest I wasn't impressed with GTA V. The graphics were garbage(PC gamer kicking in), the story was short, and some of the physics were silly to me. If you can wait, hold out for the PC or PS4/XB One release, because the long loading times are a bit annoying and again, the graphics are bad.

Additional thoughts: I thought that they could have lightened up on the language, it got excessive many times. Also, some of the scenes can be messed up, too much for my liking.

I spent a total of $95 usd for my game. That included rechargeable batteries for my xbox controller and a 16Gb flash drive for the mandatory install.
Not worth it IMO, but some may disagree with me.

There has been no confirmation of its release on the next generation consoles, and to be honest, it is highly unlikely. I'm just throwing that out there, because Good Game suggested to wait.

If you're planning on buying one of the next generation consoles then i would leave it and wait for a next gen port, but if you are not then i say go for it gta v is a great game

Just for the single player gta has a lot of content to keep you occupied.
- 69 Story Missions (Main campaign)
- 59 Hobbies and Pastimes (Side activity's)
- 58 Strangers and Freaks Missions (side missions)
- 57 Random Events (Things like random generated robberies)
And then there is gta online which includes over 500 unique missions you can play with your friends.

My only complaint is the games shooting mechanics which are horrible compared to R* previous game Max Payne 3, but overall I would give it a 9/10 because of the amount of detail R* have put into yet another title, the game has fun missions, great characters, great graphics which fully push the console hardware to the limits, and R* give you a massive map to explore with loads of shit to do which can be explored with your friends in gta online.

Eh honestly I really only got it to play online with Rarity. I mean it's good but personally I liked San Andreas better.

If you've got friends to play it with online then yes. If you don't then in my personal opinion, it's not.
