Today I just pre-ordered The War Z. Its a new zombie MMO, sort of similar to DayZ, but better anti-cheat and better graphics in my opinion. I decided to buy the Legend edition, which gives me:

Access to alpha(October 15th)
Special forum badge (I feel special now!)
Survivor name will be highlighted on leaderboards and chat. (Shiny!)
In game currency, $30 worth of it.
"Stronghold" map server hosting (6 months)
3x 2 days guest access pass. (3 friends can play with me for 2 days on 31st october)

So yeah, all that, plus access to alpha, beta and the full game! And for just £30. So, if you have pre-ordered or are going to, post a reply here and maybe we can get playing together?

I'll play with you on the 31st and if it's good I will buy!

Dayz is getting boring for me so I think I'll give Warz a try

From what i have seen i'm not happy with the gameplay.
I expected to see some real Player vs Player action, however the PvP gameplay they showed us was as scripted as every DayZ server is.

nope you wait till the dayz standalone is out and it will be 10x better then this

the people making 'War Z' changed the name to that when day z was getting popular

The marketplace for buying weapons absolutely put me off. That actually fully ruined a game that i was actually excited for

Is your legend icon for the forums working uzi? Any idea how long it takes to come through and how they give you it.

You're exactly right there. I don't give a damn what you think. I have played the DayZ mod. And quite frankly, its a decent game. Or it was. Then, the script kiddies came along, and boom. Quarter of the community left. I will be buying the DayZ stand alone version, because I liked the mod and it sounds promising, including alot less hackers.. And just so you know, they wont be sueing. Rocket (Dev of DayZ) said himself that he doesn't mind about "The WarZ" and is glad that other zombie games are being made. Hell, if you think this is theft, then nearly every single game out there is a theft. Take League of Legends for example. Many people said, when it first launched, that it was just a DotA ripoff. But it wasnt. It was part of the MoBA genre. As such, these two games are part of the Zombie Survival genre. Here's a video:
Also, I personally think that both games will be good, so I don't care about waiting to see which is better. I don't really see your point in posting that, it doesn't affect me in any way and all your trying to do is make people hate the game.

Meh, will stick to Dayz.
