the next Minecraft update requires the new launcher i will show you how to install the new launcher

go to Mojang.com

scroll down to 1.6 pre-release (may not have to scroll down)

click either Windows/Mac/or Linux (whatever you run on your computer)

install in place of your current Minecraft launcher (it should save data)

enjoy!


this launcher also allows to run previous Minecraft versions as a added bonus
