Here's where I got the idea:
theindiestone.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=13902 And where it originally ripped it off: www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1795569-zom...-your-own-adventure/ Rules Warning: Spoiler! 1.The player is controlled by everyone who answers. If multiple players make multiple different choices, both choices will be done in the order of reply (ex. Person 1 says "Take the knife." person 2 says "Tell Jim to reload his pistol.". Both will be done) . However, if multiple players make multiple different choices that CONFLICTS WITH EACH OTHER (ex. Person 1 says "Kill the zombie". Person 2 says "Study the zombie."), a majority rules choice will be made. If there is tie for a majority, the players can vote for one of the tying choices to be made. If the issue still doesn't get resolved, I will pick one of the tying chocices. 2. I control the outcome of your character's actions. I'll try to be as fair and logical as possible on the outcome. (Ex. You decides to loot the crate. I decide that you find a plank and a hammer) 3. You also control what your character says. I will control what the other party says and/or does. (Ex. You say "Nick! Don't you dare kill Jessica! You don't know if he's infected. It's just a scratch.". I can make Nick say "You know better than I do. Old Jim turned into one of them from a scratch.", then Nick takes a gun and points it on the scratched Jessica) a. If you give the gist of what the character will say, I will create the WORDS that the character says. (ex. You (irl) say "Tell Jim about what happened." The character says "Jessica died." b. If you give a specific quote, that will be the quote your character says. c. Try to explain how your character says it (research shows communication is something like 10% words, 20% tone and 70% body language. (ex. Tell James that the vaccine is real sarcastically). 4. If you try to create an outcome as well as an action, your action will get rejected/ignored. 5. You are welcome to suggest changes but when suggesting, put a "large text" on the top of your post stating that you are making a suggestion. 6. I will add statuses and change existing status of your character over time as realistically as possible. Make sure you object if I change your character too unrealistically. (ex. If his hunger drops 35% in 4 hours or if you don't like my "unhappiness" status). 7. I will add gameplay elements if I feel the need to. Again, suggest if you don't think it's realistic. 8. I will post an outcome every 30min -18 hours, depending on the number of replies and the situation. 9. I will add guiding questions that will help you make an action if you are stuck. Beware though, sometimes, you may want to think outside the box of the guiding question. Gameplay Status Warning: Spoiler! Hunger: How hungry your guy is. If your situation presents you a food item or you have a food item in your inventory, you can eat to restore hunger. Eating too much will result in you being "full", giving you a temporary negative buff. Hunger deteriorates rather slowly but is important not to starve. Thirst: How thirsty your guy is. If your situation presents you some water/liquids or you have water/liquids in your inventory, you can drink to restore thirst. Thirst deteriorates much more quickly than hunger. Exhaustion: How tired you are. Being awake too long will exhaust you. You can choose to sleep somewhere to help you with your exhaustion. Sleeping on beds give you more energy when waking. Injuries: Any injuries your character has. It can range from a bruise to a broken leg. Injuries will worsen/improve over time, depending on the injury. Equipment Warning: Spoiler! What your character has in his 2 hands and the clothes he is wearing. When wielding a swinging weapon/firearm, you can put the weapon into both hands to improve the effectiveness of it. Some clothing will give you space in the larger "inventory". Inventory Warning: Spoiler! What your bags and pockets carry. Different objects have different inventory capacities. Buffs/Debuffs Warning: Spoiler! Special conditions have that changes him/her- some positive, some negative. These are usually temporary and will disappear over time. Companion Warning: Spoiler! Who you have for company and what you know about them and also about what you know they have. (ex. Jim, is an ass, has 3 bags of chips). Not all your companions are humans. You will not know your companions 100% at first sight. You can see an "estimated relationship level", but it is not always trustworthy and can even be superficial. End Game Suicide Warning: Spoiler! If you don't like the character, you can make him kill himself in order to start a new character. If the majority votes to commit suicide, you will have 3 days to vote no. If the majority still desires suicide, the character will die and a new one will be made. Death Warning: Spoiler! The inevitable has happened! A new character will be made shortly after. Now lets have some fun! Current Character Name: Ian Smith Age: 24 Weight: 68kg Height: 177cm Race: Caucasian Gender: Male House: 49 Becker Dr City:Toronto, Ontario (Population 2.615 million) |

July 6th, 2019 As your alarm beeps, you slowly and drowsily wake up from your slumber, in your 3 roomed house, located at 49 Becker Dr. with one bathroom, a kitchen, bedroom and living room. Your TV is turned off but your PC is still turned on. You slept late last night but thats because you were playing Garry's Mod until 3:30 last night. You glance at your alarm clock. It says it's 7:00 AM. You resist the urge to fall back asleep and get up. Your room is spotless, due to the clean man that you are. You look around and see your closet, your living room and your sling pack which has held all of your stuff since now. What do you do? |
