TOPIC: Messing Up

Messing Up 10 years, 5 months ago #189795

I discovered recently my Garry's Mod does not want to connect to multiplayer-
reason? I do not know. I tried connecting to FP TTT, JB, and DarkRP today and even other non FP servers, and every time it shows the same message(along the lines of)Steam Auth Ticket something something. THEN- it says I can't play in offline mode. So I switch my Steam back to Online and try again- no success.


This is here to explain I'm not being inactive, but rather having technical difficulties with this PIECE OF SH*T STEAM.

First off, try to verify your local files.

If that doesn't work, try re-installing it.

First off, try to verify your local files.

And if that doesn't work, try moving Garry's Mod out of the steam folder, and running hl2.exe

That's what I am having to do since it says: ERROR: No Steam User

You didn't have to do that.
Just quit steam and start it again. It works for me.

We fixed this issue back when the topic started. He had to sign into steam before he started gmod.

Actually Dookey-
that was only a temporary fix.
I allowed my cousin to use my Steam acct and whenever he is on it won't allow me online. But I owe him big time so I can't revoke his rights to the acct. I will attempt to get him his own games on his own steam account.
